Inside the app
What is inside
The apps a farm store runs on, and what each does for the day.
By the bag and by the pound
Bagged feed is scanned by its barcode and loose seed is sold by the pound, with stock counted in the same unit.
Tax exemptions per farm
Each product carries its tax, and a fiscal position on a farm's account swaps the tax on farm inputs for an exemption.
Farm charge accounts
Farms and stables take the goods, and the amount goes on their account to be paid later.
Price breaks
A lower price per bag applies from 10 bags and again from a ton, straight from the price list.
Delivered to the farm
A large order is charged or paid at the counter and delivered on the day agreed with the farm.
Animal health by batch
Dewormers and vitamins are tracked by batch with expiry dates, and the batch that expires first is reserved first.
Seasonal buying
Seasonal stock, such as tank de-icers before winter, is ordered weeks ahead with the date each delivery is due.
Sales by department
The sales analysis shows what each department sold, from poultry feed to fencing and wild bird food.
Step by step
From the wholesaler to the farm
How feed, seed and supplies move through a farm store in BridgeERP, and which app does each step.
- Step 1

Purchase - Step 2
Receive
Deliveries are received before opening, with the batch and expiry date of animal health products.
Inventory - Step 3
Sell
The counter sells by the bag and by the pound, with lower prices for larger quantities.
Point of Sale - Step 4
Apply the tax
A farm with an exemption on file pays no tax on farm inputs; other customers pay the sales tax.
Accounting - Step 5
Deliver
Large orders wait as deliveries and go out on the day agreed with the farm.
Inventory - Step 6
Close
At closing the day posts to accounting, with farm balances and sales tax by rate.
Accounting
Farm accounts with the certificate on file
The farm exemption is one rule given to each farm's account, and what every farm account owes is followed in accounting.

One rule for farm inputs
The farm exemption swaps the sales tax on farm inputs for a 0% exemption; taxes it does not list, such as the tax on fencing, stay as they are.

Questions
Questions about Agriculture Store
Not covered here? Contact us.
Can farms with an exemption certificate buy without sales tax?
Yes. A fiscal position on the farm's account replaces the tax on farm inputs with an exemption, and the till applies it when the farm is chosen on the order.
Can we sell seed by the pound?
Yes. A product can be sold by the pound or another unit of measure, the till takes the weight as the quantity, and stock is counted in the same unit.
Can we give a lower price for bulk feed?
Yes. Price list rules can set a lower price from a minimum quantity, such as from 10 bags and again from 40, and the till applies the price for the quantity sold.
Can farms charge purchases to an account?
Yes. The customer account payment method puts the amount on the farm's balance, and the aged receivable report shows what each account owes.
Can a large order be delivered to the farm later?
Yes. The order is charged or paid at the counter and delivered on the date set, and the delivery waits in Inventory until then.
Can dewormers and vitamins be tracked by batch?
Yes. Products can be tracked by batch with expiry dates, each sale records its batch, and a category set to First Expiry First Out reserves the batch that expires first.
